Terms of Service

Last updated June 13, 2026

These Terms govern your access to and use of whatsdhype. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them carefully.

1. About whatsdhype

whatsdhype ("whatsdhype", "we", "us") is a music discovery and discussion platform. Listeners discover new tracks tuned to their taste, rate and review them, make picks, and save what they love; artists share music into discovery for free and may use credits to boost its reach. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and whatsdhype.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use whatsdhype, and old enough to form a binding contract in your country. If you use whatsdhype on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Your account

You sign in with your email using a one-time code, and may optionally set a password. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and account secure, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at info@whatsdhype.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. How the service works

Discovery presents tracks for you to preview, save, rate, review, or pass, and to build into shareable pick posts. Picks are curated sets with short inline samples; full tracks open on third-party services such as Apple Music. As an artist, you can submit a track into discovery for free and may allocate credits to a campaign that places it into other listeners' discovery feeds. Previews are short clips provided by Apple Music. whatsdhype does not host, sell, or stream the underlying recordings.

5. Credits

Credits (◆) are a prepaid promotion credit used only inside whatsdhype. They are not money, not a stored-value instrument, and have no cash value. Credits are not redeemable, cashable, or transferable, and cannot be exchanged for currency.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. Artist content and rights

If you submit a track, you represent that you own or control all rights necessary to promote it, including any rights of featured artists, producers, and rights-holders. You remain responsible for your content. You grant whatsdhype a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to display its metadata and artwork and to surface it within discovery and promotion features for as long as your campaign or content is active.

8. Third-party services

whatsdhype relies on third parties including music platforms (Apple Music, and outbound links to other services), payment processing (Korapay), email delivery, and hosting and database providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for their content or availability.

9. Payments

Credit top-ups are processed by our payment partner. Prices are shown at checkout and may be denominated in Nigerian Naira (NGN). You are responsible for any taxes that apply. whatsdhype does not store full card details; payment information is handled by the processor.

10. Intellectual property

The whatsdhype name, brand, interface, and software are owned by whatsdhype and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks without prior written permission.

11. Termination and deletion

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings; deletion removes your personal information and signs you out everywhere, and active campaigns are stopped first. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service and its users. Credits have no cash value and are not refunded on termination.

12. Disclaimers

whatsdhype is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee any particular level of reach, listens, plays, or results from promotion.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, whatsdhype will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim or a nominal sum permitted by law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold whatsdhype harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of others.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of whatsdhype after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be subject to the courts located in Nigeria, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
