Blaq really had Asake rap AND sing on here like it was nothing. versatile GOAT behavior
Nice record but let's not pretend the hook isn't doing copy and paste. What saves it is the texture around it: Blaqbonez sounds like he is joking with money, Asake sounds like money already knows him, and the production keeps the whole thing moving before repetition becomes annoying.
1.6m first day for a rap song in Nigeria is nasty work. Chocolate City needed this flex because it proves Blaqbonez does not have to choose between rap credibility and mainstream chaos. Asake helped, obviously, but the record still feels like Blaq's world.
The production on this needs more talk. Everything feels complete and the replay value is stupid. this is music
