PERFECT album. every vibe is here and the songs connect sonically like one long thing. M$NEY is the most complete album 2026 has given us and i doubt anybody touches it this year. 🐐
tried it 3 times in 3 different settings, still cannot get in. the verses are weak by his own standard and the hooks are painfully repetitive. feels like half the album is the same phrase looped. beats fine, concept fine, his older work is just stronger.

His signature is all over it, the catchy hooks, the rhythm, the way he rides a beat. Comfortable in the best way.
This is Asake's best album sonically. it used to be Work of Art for me, not anymore. the way these tracks are sequenced is not an accident, they hand off to each other.
this man put his whole soul inside this one. the album is literally playing in my dreams at this point 🕊️
My honest issue is that the mix of message and feeling stays a little cloudy in the final product. The intention is clear, the execution blurs it. There is a genuinely great 9-track album hiding inside this 13-track one.
Solid on the first couple of listens but the replay experience is not really there for me. The instrumentals do not grab the way Work of Art did and there are not many themes i want to keep returning to. A few clear standouts, but as a full body of work the replay value is thin.
Funny thing is the lyrics did not hit me on first listen. Then days later a random line from the album just enters my head and i go oh, THIS is what he meant. He was talking about real life the whole time.
I think the disconnect people feel is real but they are blaming the wrong thing. Early Asake was music we could relate to because we were all in that same struggling headspace. He is Mr M$NEY now, a place a lot of us are not in. Remove the need to be in his exact headspace and you actually have a very enjoyable album.
this is his most calm, settled project and that is exactly why it works for me. no shouting for your attention, it just sits with you. 10/10
i rank this below the rest of his run honestly. M$NEY is fine but Work of Art is still the one for me. not a bad album, just not the masterpiece they are forcing.
i find it genuinely boring. the beats repeat and never really go anywhere, and the delivery does not stand out the way his does when he is locked in. concept is nice on paper, the actual listen is a bit of a nothing burger for me.
