1.6m first day for a rap song in Nigeria is nasty work. Chocolate City needed this flex because it proves Blaqbonez does not have to choose between rap credibility and mainstream chaos. Asake helped, obviously, but the record still feels like Blaq's world.

Solid on the first few listens and the number 3 debut on the UK albums chart is real, credit where due. But the replay experience just is not there for me. Two or three standouts and the rest i do not find myself going back to.

Solid on the first couple of listens but the replay experience is not really there for me. The instrumentals do not grab the way Work of Art did and there are not many themes i want to keep returning to. A few clear standouts, but as a full body of work the replay value is thin.

i agree Iceman is his best solo album since Views, not even a hot take. but Kendrick's GNX still eats it for me and i listened to GNX in the gym every day for two years. ICEMAN has great songs, i just skip way more of it.

Funny part is it's probably the best 2026 World Cup song and people still hate it. World Cup songs have a nostalgia problem now. Every new one is reviewed against somebody's childhood instead of what it is actually trying to do.
